Your initial FREE consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

Dr. Shane and Dr. Meister will thoroughly review your dental and medical history

Provide a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
Dr. Shane will thoroughly review all of the information gained during the complimentary initial consultation to develop a customized treatment plan to meet your individual needs.

What is the next step?
After the initial complimentary consultation, the whole family will be invited to review the information gained from the consultation. Dr. Shane will present various treatment options and thoroughly explain the benefits of each option to allow the patients to choose the option that best fits their desires.
We will also discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans. Once the patient and family decided on the customized plan of their choice, we will take the next steps to begin treatment THAT DAY!
When do I get my braces?
Every patient’s teeth and goals are unique. Some patients may be ready to get their braces very quickly and some patients will require other steps before braces.
Our goal is to put your braces on as soon as you are ready so you can have your brand new smile as quickly as possible.
As soon as the patient is ready for braces, we will schedule an appointment for braces. This appointment generally takes about an hour. During that appointment our team will be available to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.
Scheduling appointments
During your orthodontic treatment you will visit the office every four to eight weeks. We offer convenient appointment times to ensure your needs will be met.
These adjustment appointments are essential to ensure your treatment progresses quickly and safely. These are also the appointments when you get to pick your colors!
We understand that sometimes “life happens”. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do everything possible to accommodate you.
Dentist visits during orthodontic treatment
It is very important for everyone to see their dentist for cleanings and regular check ups at least every six month, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE BRACES!
Your dentist will help keep your teeth clean, especially in those hard to reach areas. The dentist will also make sure that your teeth and gums are healthy during your orthodontic treatment.
We will coordinate our treatment with your family dentist to ensure you receive the best care possible.
