Meet the Doctor
Dr. Shane Hodson
Dr. Shane Hodson was born and raised in North Miami Beach and grew up surrounded by orthodontics. Inspired by his grandfather, Dr. Malcolm Meister, he discovered early on that orthodontics transforms not only smiles, but confidence and lives.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and completed his Doctorate and orthodontic specialization at Nova Southeastern University, where he also received a Master of Science degree.
Today, Dr. Shane combines advanced training with a genuine love for working with families, creating healthy, confident smiles while continuing a proud family legacy.
Andrea Hodson - Treatment coordinator
Andrea is a Venezuelan-trained dentist and orthodontist who completed her dental degree in Venezuela and specialized in orthodontics in Brazil. She successfully ran her own orthodontic practice before moving to the United States.
Since joining Hodson & Meister Orthodontics in 2018, Andrea has played a key leadership role as Treatment Coordinator and Office Manager, bringing her extensive clinical knowledge to patient care and operations.
Her background allows her to guide patients with clarity, empathy, and expertise throughout their smile journey.
Dr. Malcolm Meister- not practicing, mentor
Dr. Malcolm Meister founded his orthodontic practice in North Miami Beach in 1960, serving the community with excellence for over 30 years and establishing a trusted local legacy.
He was elected President of the Florida Association of Orthodontists and inducted into prestigious organizations including the American Board of Orthodontics and the American College of Dentists.
As the Founding Chairman of the Orthodontic Department at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Meister helped build one of the most respected orthodontic programs in the region, mentoring generations of specialists.
